Famous Dragons... Falkor

If you grew up in the '80s like we did, you were privy to some of the most classic cult films of all time, one of which was the unforgettable Neverending Story (which, when you were a kid, you were surprised to see the end credit crawl - misleading!)

The '80s staple featured one of our favorite dragons of all, Falkor, who spoke and was ridden and every kid of the '80s wanted as a pet.
Here are some great Falkor collectibles...

Falkor Plush by Bavaria Filmstadt (Imported from Germany)
Falkor Plush by Bavaria Filmstadt
There are not a lot of Falkor items out on the market, which is a real shame, but if you want to pay a little extra you can get your hands on this rare, officially licensed 19" plush and have a Falkor of your very own. Goes for about $80 or so on eBay or go to the Bavaria Filmstadt website for much less.

Falkor Air Print by Dave Perillo/Gallery 1988 (2012)
Falkor Air Screen Print by Dave Perillo/Gallery 1988
This print from Dave Perillo was part of a show put on by LA's Gallery 1988 back in 2012. Sold out but can be found on eBay for about $100.

Falkor Mini Print by Evanimal/Gallery 1988 (2015)
Falcor Screen Print by Evanimal/Gallery 1988

Sometimes it's Falkor and sometimes it's Falcor, but nonetheless artist Evanimal created this awesome 12x9 screen print to celebrate the white dragon. Limited to 50 signed and numbered copies, this print is still available (as of this post) through Gallery 1988 for the measly sum of $20.

The Neverending Story First Edition by Michael Ende/Doubleday (1983)
The Neverending Story First American Edition by Doubleday
The Neverending Story is a German novel from writer Michael Ende and was the basis for the film. The First American edition in hardcover will set you back about $80 for one in decent condition.

More dragon goodness tomorrow!
