Fearless feline

Many heroes have sidekicks, partners, teammates - and some have animals by their side that just kick some serious @$$. We'll touch on all of the above, and today spotlight one of our favorite animal sidekicks - He-Man's best bud the one and only Battle Cat (sometimes known as Cringer.) The Masters of the Universe toy line and cartoon series are dear to our hearts, so expect a lot of posts on the gang from Eternia. Here are some great Battle cat collectibles...

Masters of the Universe Battle Cat (1982)

A mint Battle Cat unopened in the box is hard to come by and goes for upwards of $200 if you can find one. (But well worth it if you do).

Battle Cat statue by Pop Culture Shock Collectibles (2016)

Pop Culture Shock Collectibles is one of the best statue producers out there right now. Their Masters of the Universe statues and Street Fighter pieces are bar-none. This baby isn't out yet and is still available for pre-order but not cheap. You have to pay for quality after all. Limited to 500 pieces. The PCS exclusive featuring an alternate head is sold out.

Masters of the Universe Classics Battle Cat (2010)

Matty Collector had this available at one point but it's sold out now. You can track one down on eBay for about $50. Loves these re-dos - so much like the vintage series but updated articulation and design. Only downside is the art is missing that was such a huge part of the original packaging.
