Top 10 Friday... Dragon Movies

With Pete's Dragon opening today we've been posting all week on famous dragons of pop culture, specifically film and comics, and with our Top 10 today we're going all celluloid with our Top 10 Dragon Movies.

Before we get to that though, here are a few more dragon collectibles!

Game of Thrones Dragon Eggs Bookends (2016)
Game of Thrones Dragon Egg Bookends by HBO
Available on the HBO website for about $150, these bookends may not hatch and help you take over Westeros, but they look cool and will keep your GOT books straight.

Smaug Screen Print by Craig Drake (2014)

Sold as a mystery print and part of artist Craig Drake's solo show at Hero Complex Gallery, this gorgeous 24x36 print will set you back a good $100-$150 if you can track one down on eBay. Limited to 160 numbered copies.

Dragonslayer 1:32 scale model by Pegasus (2012)

This officially licensed model from Pegasus Hobbies is fully painted and ready to display with great detail and color. It can be tracked down online for less than $100.

Now onto our...
Top 10 Dragon Movies!
(We took some liberties here, some of these films just feature dragons as opposed to being dragon-centric, but if you like dragons, you'll be happy...)

10. Eragon (2006)

9. Pete's Dragon (1977)

8. Beowulf (2007)

7. Reign of Fire (2002)

6. Dragonheart (1996)

5. How To Train Your Dragon (2010)

4. Dragonslayer (1981)

3. The Neverending Story (1984)

2. Spirited Away (2001)

1. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013)

That's all for this week! Good luck tracking down some cool collectibles this weekend everyone!
