Stars and strife... Planet Hulk

Planet Earth. Planet Mars. Planet... Hulk? You read that right, folks. Bruce Banner, aka The Incredible Hulk, went gladiator during the popular "Planet Hulk" storyline that debuted in 2006. In the story arc, The Hulk is jettisoned to the cosmos and lands on the planet Sakaar, where he is forced to take part in gladiator battles.

The Hulk is a natural fit for a storyline like this, which came courtesy of Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada and writer Greg Pak. The Hulk's gladiatorial look -- with his armor, shield and weaponry -- made an already savage character appear that much more so. Here are some incredible Planet Hulk collectibles.
