The time of the Preacher (Part 1)

The wait is finally over - one of comics' greatest writers (that's Garth Ennis folks), finally will have his masterwork of storytelling, Preacher, brought to life on film thanks to AMC and some devoted creative forces this Sunday night.
Joseph Gilgun, Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga as Cassidy, Jesse and Tulip in Preacher;
debuting this Sunday on AMC.
To celebrate what has been a long wait for so many fans, this week will have more than one post focused on some way cool Preacher collectibles out there in the world...

Preacher #1 (1995)
Preacher #1 by DC/Vertigo
Just a no-brainer here. The key issue that started it all and introduced the world to Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy. A hot book right now to say the least.

Preacher Statue by DC Direct (Sculpted by William Paquet - 1997)

This statue is now rare and sought after, but there was a time you could get it for a decent price. Beautiful design and composition, pure resin perfection. Limited to 2350 pieces.

Jesse Custer figure by DC (2000)
Jesse Custer figure by DC Direct
DC Direct released four characters from the Preacher series as action figures a while back. There's also a rarer white suit version of Jesse. (Too bad we didn't see Arseface in the figure run). Prices are going up on these right now but can still be attained unopened for a decent price.

More Preacher Thursday as we gear up for the series premiere!
