Not long after McFarlane made his mark as an artist he launched McFarlane Toys and has gone on to produce a wealth of excellent, detailed collectible figures. And Mr. McFarlane being the sports fan that he is, a healthy number of those figures are based on professional athletes. The NFL officially kicked off this past weekend and, as always, it started with a bang (anyone see that Raiders/Saints game...? Wowza.). So we're gonna open the McFarlane playbook all week and take a look at some of the best McFarlane NFL figures available. Another Hall of Famer comes to life in the form of Broncos record-breaking tight end Shannon Sharpe. The figure comes in two versions, modern blue and throwback "Orange Crush," both of which can be caught on the secondary for about $40-$50 apiece.
